Mexican government's electronic platform that centralizes all foreign trade procedures in a single digital window.
VUCEM (Ventanilla Única de Comercio Exterior Mexicano, or Mexican Foreign Trade Single Window) is the federal government's electronic platform that centralizes and digitizes all procedures related to Mexico's foreign trade. Through VUCEM, companies, customs brokers, and importers/exporters can manage their filings with multiple government agencies from a single access point.
VUCEM provides SOAP/WS-Security Web Services for system-to-system integration, enabling automation of procedures like COVE and MVE filings. RSA-SHA256 signatures encoded in Base64 are required.
VUCEM has been instrumental in modernizing Mexico's customs operations, significantly reducing processing times and eliminating paper-based procedures. However, the platform's complexity and its Web Services require technical expertise for efficient integration.
