Air freight is the cost of transporting goods by air, generally the fastest but also most expensive mode. It is calculated by gross weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater), using the formula: length × width × height (cm) / 6,000 = volumetric weight (kg). It is ideal for urgent merchandise, high unit-value goods, perishables (flowers, seafood, fruit), pharmaceuticals, electronics, and commercial samples. In Mexico, the main cargo airports are AICM, AIFA, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Querétaro.
