The CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership) is a multilateral free trade agreement among 11 Pacific Rim countries: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam. It eliminates or reduces tariffs on over 95% of tariff lines and establishes high-standard rules on goods trade, services, investment, intellectual property, competition, state enterprises, and digital trade. For Mexico, it opens important markets like Japan, Australia, and Vietnam.
