Value Acknowledgment Receipt
Also known as: Acuse de Valor, COVE Receipt, MVE Receipt
Digital receipt issued by VUCEM upon acceptance of a COVE or MVE, containing the unique identification number of the accepted document.
What Is the Value Acknowledgment Receipt?
The value acknowledgment receipt (acuse de valor) is the digital confirmation that VUCEM issues when it accepts and validates a value document — either a COVE (Electronic Value Certificate) signed by the customs broker or an MVE (Electronic Value Declaration) signed by the importer. It contains a unique identification number that must be referenced in subsequent customs documents.
Examples
- The customs broker transmits the COVE and receives the Value Acknowledgment Number, which is sent to the importer for referencing in the MVE.
- After signing the MVE, the importer receives an acknowledgment receipt with the MNVA Number to share with the customs broker for the pedimento.
